Overview
OdataLink allows multiple data files to be accessed.
You may add as many data files as you require.
Note that only Xero users with a Standard or Advisor role can attach a Xero organisation data file to OdataLink.
Steps
To add a Xero data files, follow these steps.
- Click on Data Files in the menu on the left-hand side;
- Click on the Add Xero Data File button;
- Click on the Login to Xero and follow the prompts within the Xero website;
- Note that the account you use to login to Xero will determine what endpoints you can access.
- Once you have logged into the Xero website and have authorised OdataLink to access your data, you will be returned to OdataLink and a list of data files will appear.
- Tick one or more data file you wish to add to the current OdataLink account;
- Click on the Add Selected Data Files button;
- You will be returned to the Data Files screen and the selected data files will be added to the list.
Notes
If you have admin rights to OdataLink but not the data file you can invite a user as an Admin so that they can attach a data file.
If you're inviting that user just to add the data file, make sure you revoke their access to your OdataLink account after they have attached the data file.
Alternatively you can also create multiple OdataLink accounts. Each additional account is a separate subscription. Doing so ensures that each one of your clients' configuration and data is kept separate and isolated from each other. Your login will be associated with multiple accounts and you will be able to select the currently active account you want to manage.
