How to track my OdataLink Usage
Overview
Each OdataLink account is subject to Monthly Data download allowance under OdataLink's Fair Use Policy (Policy) document. Usage is shared across entire account and data files, so higher activity on one data file can be offset bu lower activity on other(s). OdataLink tracks data usage at the Account level, Models level, and per data file level, to help you stay within your Monthly Data Allowance limits.
What counts as Usage
Usage is defined as the volume of data OdataLink retrieves from your connected data files each month.
This includes data retrieved by Power BI, Excel, or other data pipeline and reporting tools, either via automatic scheduled refreshes or manual report refresh.
What does not count as Usage
- Data retrieved from OdataLink's archive (historical cached data).
- Data retrieved from data sources other than connected Data Files
