Logging into OdataLink
Overview
Logging into OdataLink depends on whether you are using Two-Factor Authentication or not. As a general rule, we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
With Two-Factor Authentication Enabled
When Two-Factor Authentication is enabled, you will need to enter an additional 6-digit number which you receive by email. This is to ensure the highest level of security to safeguard your data.
To ease the burden of frequent logins, you can tick the Trust this device for 5 days. If ticked, OdataLink will not require the two-factor authentication for this device for the next 5 days.
With Two-Factor Authentication Disabled
If Two-Factor Authentication is disabled for your user, OdataLink checks your device to ensure you've logged in from it before. If you haven't, OdataLink will generate an email for you to confirm your login. This is a once-off confirmation but is required to ensure your account and data are secure.
If the device you use is your own and not shared with anyone else, you can tick the Trust this device. This will mean that OdataLink will not require you to confirm logging in via email. But you should only tick this option if you do not share the device.
