By editing a data file's details, you will be able to configure it's Name and Data File Code and it's Login details.

Steps

To edit's a data file's details, follow these steps.

  1. Click on Data Files on the menu in the left-hand side;
  2. Find the data file you want to work on and click Edit;
  3. Enter the Data File Name;
    This is the display name of the data file and is only used within the odatalink website.
  4. Enter the Data File Code;
    The secret code which will form part of the OData feed url. Changing it will break any OData feed url in use for this data file. This may be useful if concerned that an OData feed url has been compromised.
  5. Tick/untick the Enabled checkbox;
    Controls whether all OData feed urls for this data file are useable.
  6. Set the Login Type to Use MY.MYOB Account or Use explicit data file USER NAME and PASSWORD;
    When set to Use MY.MYOB Account, the login will use whichever my.myob account used when adding the data file.
    When set to Use explicit data file USER NAME and PASSWORD, you will need to specify an additional User Name and Password to connect to the data file. This should preferably be the Administrator user name of the data file.
  7. Click Save.
