Updating the Firewall with the IP Address of a User
Overview
To simplify managing the Firewall, OdataLink provides a special type of IP Addresses that are associated with logins.
Once created, whenever you login to OdataLink, the website will check and ensure your current IP Address is associated with your login and prompt you to update it if it has changed. This greatly simplifies managing the Firewall. It essentially means that you can update the Firewall simply by logging in.
If you are an Administrator, you can simply click the Update button when prompted.
If you are not an Administrator, you can instead click on the Notify Admins button. This will generate an email and sent it to the Administrators to action. Once the Administrators have approved this, you will be able to update your associated IP Address like any other administrator.
Alternatively, if you do not want to enable this functionality or update your IP Address, click the Ignore button.
