Adding IP addresses

Each model has a firewall.

A Firewall secures access to the OData Feed URLs and your data.

If a firewall is enabled for a model then an IP addresses will need to be added before data can be refreshed

Steps

To add a new IP address, follow these steps.

1. Click on IP Addresses on the menu in the left-hand side;
2. Click on the Add IP Address button;
3. Enter a IP Address Name;

   This is the display name of the IP address and is only used within the OdataLink website. We recommend using the location of the office or the name of the user to which it applies.

4. Enter the Start IP and End IP

   OdataLink supports both IPv4 and IPv6 IP addresses. The type to use and enter will depend on your network environment.

5. Click Add IP Address

Once added, you will need to allow it for specific models. See Allowing / disallowing IP addresses access to a model for more information.
