IP addresses are used as Firewall to secure access to the OData Feed URLs and your data.
By default, a new account will have the IP addresses of the user which created the account.
The following video provides a good overview of the OdataLink Firewall.
Tasks
- Add a new IP address
- Remove an existing IP address
- Update the Firewall with the your current IP Address
- Allow Power BI cloud access to the model
For each IP Address you have, you may:
- View the IP address' details
- Edit the IP address' details
- Allow / disallow specific IP addresses access to the model
- Allow a user-specific IP address to apply to all users
- Convert an IP-based IP address to a Geo-based IP address
